Who are we ?

The Yeovil Freewheelers are a charity organisation that provides a unique free service helping both hospitals and patients. We operate out of hours during the evenings, weekends and bank holidays, to provide fast, safe and efficient transport between hospitals throughout the region.

The service is provided free of charge and uses specially adapted motorcycles. We can carry urgently needed blood samples, biopsies, MRI scans, prescription drugs, a variety of medical equipment for intensive care units and even patient notes.

Whilst we are willing to carry most items that will fit on a motorcycle, we do not at present transport larger quantities of blood or organs, as these require specialist containers.
